Project Overview

Segment 4 of the Loop 1604 Expansion Project from SH 16 to I-35, San Antonio.

Segment 4 stretches for 4.242 miles, starting at the intersection of Stone Oak Parkway, passing through US 281, and ending about 1 mile east of Redland Road.

The Loop 1604 Expansion Project involves several significant improvements, some of which include expanding Loop 1604 from a four-lane expressway to ten lanes, replacing the cloverleaf interchange at IH 10/LP 1604 with a five-level direct connect interchange, and replacing the signalized frontage road intersections with a continuous flow configuration.

The improvements are designed to improve mobility, reduce congestion, and enhance safety along the highly travelled corridor.
